Service Disclaimer

Upon signing the Agreement (“Proposal”), both parties agree that neither Gold Star Garage Doors, LLC (“Gold Star”), nor its employees or agents are members or agents of the manufacturer of the product. As expressly stated by the Proposal, Gold Star will provide the described services “as is.” Both parties agree that Gold Star is not the manufacturer of the product and its individual parts, and therefore shall not be held liable for any potential failure or material defect of the product beyond the scope of the proper completion of the services stated in the Proposal, or the following warranties.

Warranty

Gold Star warrants new installations to be free of all defects in workmanship for one plan year, made effective from the date of installation to the same date the following year. Any Springs installed by Gold Star are warranted to be free of all defects in workmanship for one plan year, made effective from the date of installation to the same date one year following. Within the period of this warranty, Gold Star will repair or replace, free of charge, any part proving defective in workmanship. All warranty repairs must be performed by a technician of Gold Star Garage Doors, LLC or a technician authorized by Gold Star Garage Doors, LLC.

Limitations

Coverage for new installations will not extend to:

  • Cables

  • Sensors

  • Mishandling of the product by the customer

  • Damages caused by vehicle collision

  • Damages caused by obstructing unit’s range of motion

Additionally, coverage for Springs is limited to parts only. This warranty does not cover labor.

Important Disclaimer

In the event of warranty expiration, if any unforeseen circumstances such as weather, natural disasters, fires, debris impact, or any other unforeseen even which may cause total failure of the product occur, the customer has the right to address and execute any additional warranty provided by the manufacturer, with the manufacturer. Limitations may apply. In the event of the aforementioned circumstances causing repairable damage to the product, the customer may contact Gold Star for repairs, for the standard service charge.
